No, I fully understood this is a toothless exercise. For me, the bigger story was the Strzok/Page texts, as they imply illegal coordination between Brennan and the Obama administration, that’s going to be the headline story.
If by "toothless exercise" you mean, "the proper response to the pseudo-scandal GOPers have been clinging to for six months." To the extent it's toothless it's bc there's no there there.

OK, I’ll bite. If FISA applications were fraudulent, I’m fine with whatever the outcome. The Strzok texts imply illegal coordination, the FBI have assigned 27 additional people to release more texts to comply with Congressional subpoenas, and that’s the bigger story.
