Hmm. Sounds like Di Genova and Toensing couldn't clear their conflicts. Ah well. Trump didn't need Dowd anyway...https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/977872899792089088 …

The real problem is that this all started with Cobb musing about leaving. That is still a very real possibility. In fact, odds likely are way up now. Then he's got Sekulow, and, well.......

Yup. Fucked. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy, but still, he needs lawyers. It's just not sporting at this point.

Everyone deserves legal representation, but i don’t see how you zealously represent Trump’s interests and come out with your bar license intact. He’s unlawyerable.

Spell check tells me it is not a real word, but they are not always right, especially with legal terms. So, yes, make it so!

I am actually curious: is there any literature about
#unlawyerable clients? I imagine there may have been some defendants like this before, but I suspect many were indigent and/or mentally incompetent. (Trump definitely isn't the former, less sure about the latter...)3 replies 0 retweets 3 likes -

I, and my firm, turned down clients not because of what they are alleged to have done, but because they were just nuts and clearly wanting to drive the narrative instead of letting you create it. Can't do that.

But that's what I mean. Defendants that no lawyer would or could represent if they weren't forced to by appointment. What if anything does that mean for due process for the defendant?

Trump has fired lawyers already though. To some degree he's choosing to go pro se by his choices.

Exactly. And there’s a difference between wanting legal advice and wanting to launder falsehoods through people with law degrees.
