Every time the US charges foreign nation state hackers, we up the ante for our own offensive cyber operators (both former and current). Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't dare take that job. It's all fun and games until DOJ is playing with you like a pawn. 1/n

That's not to say that the missions aren't important. They are *vitally* important, but I'm man enough to admit that I wouldn't do it. It's easy to say "we have to do charge them for the good of national security, and sure there might be some blowback" 2/n

We hacked Iran's nuke program. Nothing we've indicted has been more invasive than that, and most haven't been as invasive.
