TY. Not urgent--just a loose end that might be worth pulling.

I think Congress only has the email Nix sent to a third party, describing his outreach to Assange. That was presumably a non-Proton email. https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-data-guru-i-tried-to-team-up-with-julian-assange …pic.twitter.com/A5KpMAzLmp

Great eye if I may say so.

Thanks. It's possible there was later reporting about Congress having a record of the actual communication between Nix and Assange. But I haven't seen it.

Three guesses 1) there might have been conversations over a non-secure email-initiated by Assange 2)Somebody else had already preserved & given the email to investigators & CA knew it 3) The "self-destruct" thing isn't as immutable as they claim. Mebbe all three.
-
can you elaborate on point nr 3 or point to a link?
-
I'm not specifically knowledgeable, just skeptical of any claims that online stuff is reliably destroyed. (The senders might keep an archive of their sending, despite self destruct of the message, for instance-also heavy data cops with warrants wading in to Proton might have ways)

Perhaps he printed them out.

I hadn’t thought of that. Who knows? It’s a bottomless pit of corruption, lies & deflection,

Maybe they kept duplicates of emails that could incriminate others. For leverage.

The more I hear about CA, the more the dotcom boom comes back to me. Sounds like a Mercer scam: they came up with a bunch of BS to sell to gullible, tech-averse GOPers.

It wasn’t a ProtonMail email that was submitted to congress.

Maybe they had them stored at their near duplicate company Emerdata Limited. A lot of the same players involved, Nix, Mercers, and a DeVos tie in Erik Princehttps://twitter.com/WendySiegelman/status/975563395062796288 …
