Does not make a difference...every company has to have server backups...they cannot erase them all. They’ll jeopardize their entire code.

In US, records retention for corps is standard. Destruction of records is spoliation of evidence that can shift the burden of proof or automatically establishes a ruling against the offending party.

I mostly do family law and a very minor amount of misdo defense, (I’m small fry law-wise.) that said it’s difficult for me to imagine the value in arguing spoilation of evidence when I could get the damn evidence. But then again, small fry.
