Issuing a subpoena to a previously not subpoenaed organization that is the nucleus of the president’s personal and professional operations since 1971 might reasonably be seen as expansion for some. But, sure, the focus is totally because people want clicks.

Do you "reasonably" know what was already turned over by Trump Org?

Of course not, but this is besides the point that there might be other reasons why some people (journos included) might be hyper focused on the subpoena news than just they should’ve expected it and thus are only seeking clicks. Not into rabbit holes.

The subpoena is the first known time that Mueller has demanded documents (subpoena or informal request) directly related to Trump’s businesses. That puts the investigation closer to Trump personally. Again, seems reasonable for some to view that as expansion.

It’s not false. It is the first publicly known occurrence of Mueller demanding documents from the Trump Organization. But again, issuing an order for documents from Trump’s business entities is an expansion of the investigation by any reasonable measure.

1) CNN reported in January that he requested voluntary production of Trump Org 2) We have already SEEN (last summer) documents from Trump Org we know to have been given to Mueller But aside from the actual evidence, sure. FIRST EVAH!!!!

Ok. This itself is getting fairly breathless. I think it’s reasonable for people to think of yesterday’s news as first impression and an expansion. That’s all.
