He has been doing this for months now. Devils advocate just for the sake of it. God forbid an expert concensus is rooted in legitimate analysis and concern and not motivated by deep state political motivations.
He's been more attentive to actual details of the dossier than 95% of lefty journos. That's no devil's advocate. It's reporting, which many many many on the left have stopped doing.

I don’t disagree. I didn’t say anything about his reporting of the dossier relative to journalism on the left. That wasn’t the standard for consensus.
