This came up in court today, sort of. Manafort's lawyer was imploring the judge to push back the trial date because of how complicated the case was. Asked for a November start. Judge Ellis: "That's not going to happen."
So he'll end up waiving venue now having not been able to get a delayed prosecution in a docket where one doesn't get that, no?

Logical defense bid here now, seems to me, would be a motion in DC to transfer the smaller and later case to VA 'for convenience.' But it's not really consistent w/what they've been asking for through yesterday.
