Because Prince appears to have lied about it under penalty of law and there are at least four strange contacts along these lines during this time, one of which has already resulted in a please and the other two were also omitted under penalty of perjury.

The idea that to fulfill quid pro quos arranged on an ad hoc basis during the campaign would be easier with secured back channel, especially in light of the apparatus that surrounds a president and isn't read in on the conspiracy.... Is pretty intuitive.

Right: The way to think of this crime is emails and other gifts during election, and immediate move to deliver policy demands after the election. This is the payoff part.
