A reader notes something I had never thought of: when journos in the northern hemisphere use seasons in lieu of at least months, it's hard for those in southern hemisphere to make sense of timing.

And vice versa, of course, but boreal seasons have a way of winning out over austral ones.
All I know is I got the flu in Australia last summer so now I feel invincible as everyone around me falls sick.
