It is possible that 1) letting Nunberg melt down on TV in amusing fashion is not why the public hates the media 2) yesterday's circus went well beyond the definition of newsworthy.

Where did idea of Tillerson as SOS come from? He stated he didn't want the job & it's financial loss for him. The State Dept has now been gutted, which is ideal for Putin. Trump trash talks NATO & won't implement sanctions. Romney was logical choice. Tillerson's bizarre choice.
From former SoS Condi Rice and former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, both very much institutionalists who nevertheless love the oil industry more.

They endorsed Tillerson, but don't recall they chose him. Tillerson's connection to Russia/Putin, "friend" medal" & projects suspect. Exxon recently abandoned Russia projects Tillerson started. Putin just announced new nuclear missile delivery capability, with NO USA response.

Zero experience or desire to be a diplomat was odd choice. Even if Gates & Rice liked him. At this point, no one else likely wants the job & maybe Tillerson has learned something. At least today Trump is talking negotiations with NK versus undermining Tillerson.
