I'm not saying "Don't root out corruption." I'm just saying eventually you plumb some structural/ethical questions that are hard to answer.
I agree, but I think they can reasonably be answered. One reason I raised EU, is bc I do think a refugee crisis was deliberately caused but before that much of Europe had a really admirable approach to them. (But I'm sure people close to us could disabuse me of this fantasy.)

Agreed (of course). Something something about Hegelian dialectic and how you can't achieve a synthesis with only one thesis, etc. It's better to have different entities purporting to "Do no evil" because they'll force each other to be better.
