I think everyone should watch this (remember, Chen reported on IRA 2.5 years ago!). But the social media stuff is one part of the conspiracy. We don't know yet whether it links to the rest of the conspiracies.https://twitter.com/aaronjmate/status/965960691697049601 …

OMG, a sober/informed Russia take on MSNBC! @AdrianChen , who profiled indicted Russian troll farm in 2015, tells @chrislhayes that what other MSNBC guests have compared to Pearl Harbor "is essentially a social media marketing campaign" and maybe not worthy of a national freakout pic.twitter.com/UkUaK2XRPe

Bullshit. It’s an in-kind multi-million dollar contribution to the Trump campaign. Excuse me if I freak out.

How many million dollar? Where do you get that # from?

Troll farm was reportedly $1.5M per month.

Actually, the number is "over 1,250,000 U.S. dollars," but that's for all their disinformation--RU, US, and other places.

Even you agree it was over a million dollars. To me, that is a lot of money for a foreign country to spend on our election. I believe they spent more if they had 80 employees buying ads and server time.

No. I agree that for ALL operations, including in Russia and other countries, it was over a million. There is a radically different public number for US op. But you don't appear to care about that. Think hard. How could you prove this #?

“The feds said the individuals were given $1.25 million a month by a Russian oligarch known as “Putin’s chef,” Yevgeniy Viktorovich Prigozhin through a company known as Concord Catering.” Maybe they spent the money on other projects?

Yeah. That's an error. Maybe don't rely on NYP for facts? Maybe try to suss out original documents? Which is where my quote came from.
