Clearly you need a good dog with a mattress.

Curiously, she won't use the REALLY fluffy dog bed made out of a quarter futon.
-
Get your scent onto the dog bed....
-
Yeah, that's probably what will work.

May I suggest Nyla-Bone? My dogs have a serious oral fixation (former smokers?) and they love those things. I destroyed one of our dogs teeth by giving her raw bones from the butcher; weird that bacon-flavored nylon is the better solution. They friggin love 'em tho.
-
She doesn't. Doesn't love her bone either. She loves rawhide but I try to limit how much of that she ingests.
-
Have you tried antlers? The ones cut in half. Also, teach her to play hide and seek. Usually a high prey drive will love that, in the house or out.
-
She's only marginally interested.

It was worth a try...
-
She's been good with me all day today, though. She basically picked up furniture seating while I was out of town last week. I guess she thought she could fully replace me in the pack
-
We gave up, and now our pug rules the roost.
-
So did June Bug's past family, i suspect, and that's why she's had a hard time finding a new forever home.
-
I had a house painter called June Bug...such an endearing name. I hope it works out...

June Bug is gorgeous. You are keeping her.
-
She is gorgeous. It's one of the tools she uses to get away with dog-terrorism.

We tried to break my pup (who recently succumbed to cancer) of stealing food from counters by lining up wasabi peas. Turns out he really likes wasabi peas.
-
Oh. I'll try that. She loves to steal potatoes (bc I'll let her). But wasabi might be awesome.

June Bug, dog-terrorist, is ADORABLE! I hope she finds her forever home soon. You're a saint to foster her.
-
Nah, we're helping each other out.

how do you keep her nails so short? i have a maniac and trimming is a herculean project.
-
Well, we've only had her abt 3 weeks. But walking is almost the only positive activity she's engaged in so far. So we do lots of that.
