Bigger takeaway is Mueller has us on the road to formalizing "sowing discord" and "sowing distrust of institutions" as threats to the security of the U.S. This is a disaster for political dissent. How can you agitate for change without sowing discord and distrust?

Yeah, and I didn't see anything like the sort of straightforward condemnation that's warranted. This is a seriously dangerous road to start down. I'm a Green voter and I already see voicing support for Greens conflated with being in bed with the enemy Putin.

No, Mueller isn't doing it himself. It's a dangerous behavior that he's enabling by defining sowing distrust of institutions as a security threat. Every toxic consequence flows from that source.
