      It was the first time a DHS official had confirmed on the record that a number of states had been compromised, and that the actual number and names remains classified.

      No -- otherwise we'd have a comprehensive list of states that were compromised, and we do not. The position of the National Association of Secretaries of States is that only one state was compromised. So the states and the feds can't even agree on the scope of the problem.

      How do you define "compromise"? Maybe that would be a more worthy topic for reporting than BREAKING a story that doesn't really BREAK news?
