This is a very big deal. It’s Brand (or her successor) who’s first in line to take over supervision of Mueller’s investigation if Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein is fired...https://twitter.com/adamgoldmannyt/status/962080425425489921 …

Except there’s no need; under the FVRA, could replace Rosenstein with him directly.
-
So then Brand's resignation isn't that important?
-
_Why_ she resigned is really important; _that_ she resigned is somewhat less so.

And her assistant. May be totally unrelated to Mueller. Just normal everyday Sessions dysfunction (tho it'd have to be dysfunction that RR hadn't insulated her from, no?)
-
Her assistant is essentially a secretary so I doubt that’s related to anything policy-wise. Whatever Rachel’s reason for leaving, I’m sure this wasn’t what she had planned. No intends to leave so soon.
