"Only Russia inquiry leader Mike Conaway of Texas, Chris Stewart of Utah, and Peter King of New York were willing to say Page shouldn’t have been placed under surveillance."https://www.thedailybeast.com/republicans-wont-say-if-spying-on-carter-page-was-wrong …

Could you please explain the joke?
-
Which part? The Peter King terrorist supporter or the Brighton Beach part?
-
Atleast the Brighton Beach part
-
The terrorist supporter part is that he was loathed by the Brits in the 1980s bc he was such a successful fundraiser for the militant IRA.

1. Thanks 2. Man, he's a bigger a-hole than I knew

Or the Hamptons, for that matter, where more of the Russians who matter here actually hang out

Well that gets you to Lee Zeldin, one of the biggest Mueller opponents. So we're getting warmer.

Maybe the first warrant is defendable. But why did it take 3 more to finally not charge Page? It seems that keeping Page investigated and leaking about it has been a helpful smoke to fuel Russia hysteria in the public opinion, don’t you think?
-
1) You're sure the GOP didn't leak the order? 2) FISA is not a criminal warrant, it's an intel one. 3) With each reauth they would have had to show they were getting intel.
-
Okay, let’s see if Page is ever charged in connection with the intel that justified the warrant renewals. I remember the “resistance” constantly talking after the election about a lot of smoke regarding a collusion of the Trump campaign and Russia. That bothers me now
-
FISA warrants are NOT criminal warrants. There continues to be smoke/fire. 4 ppl have been charged, at least 2 pled guilty/are actively cooperating. CI investigations take years; don't get to see evidence during investigation. You hear about case bc new info reported & Trump
