Here's the problem with June Bug the terrorist foster dog. It's only after she works thru all her food-targeted attacks, tries to chew a hole in a piece of clothing, & wrestles a box or a bed to the ground that she's turn to the giant beef bone we got her. She has discipline.

Have you tried squirting her in the face w/ a small water gun (not a super soaker) when she misbehaves? It doesn't hurt & dogs hate it.
Yeah, that works. Very well, actually. She's improving quickly. But still won't play with normal dog toys and ranks the bone way below terrorist acts for fun.

We get cheap stuffed animals for a quarter here & there at thrift shops for ours. Doesn't really end the destructive behavior of course, just redirects it to a throw away stuffed animal, which might not be your goal.
