@emptywheel You’re a skeptic re whether the OSC served a search warrant on Facebook for RU-operated accounts. Could it be that a Facebook warrant was served, but it was for Pap’s account (that he deleted in Feb) and the source got it mixed up?

No and no. I'm not just a skeptic. I've REPORTED that the claims there was a warrant were wrong.
What happened is that a number of journos, some w/o the least bit of expertise on surveillance, were told OSC got legal process. They read FB's website, misunderstood what are included in business records, and made the wrong conclusion.

Then they refused to correct when other events (notably, that Congress got the same materials w/o a warrant) proved them wrong.
