      ATT Friends in UK: Earlier today, I did an interview with @Channel4News re the implications of @LauriLove’s extradition appeal. Put simply, the ruling will negatively impact the US’s abilities to deter foreign hackers from targeting government systems and critical infrastructure.

      In my career as a researcher I've crossed paths with at least 3 people who have now been convicted of hacking offenses in the US. Every single one said the same thing: "oh yeah, x got caught and received an awful punishment but he was stupid and messed up, I'm not stupid"

      It's not like Lauri will get off scot-free. He will be punished under British law where the same alleged crimes are illegal, and he will likely get a harsher than usual sentence because of the political charge surrounding his extradition being blocked.

          Does that matter? From what I recall, our courts are generally more willing to admit tainted evidence than yours.
