Could the Apr & Jul 2017 renewal applications have included information from 705(b) surveillance to support claim that fruitful foreign intelligence was being obtained by the traditional order surveillance?

Absolutely. January too. I'm not saying 705b is bad. I'm saying NSA never really changed how they were spying on USPs overseas after FAA passed in 2008, as mandated by law.

No. Members of Congress don't get security clearance. Pete Hoekstra, who was top HPSCI GOPer for > 6 years, only got clearance last year.

I believe you, but it seems odd that someone could chair the HPSCI without clearance to review intel documents.
