As you note, 3's not a bad thing for FISA targets, just DOJ. But wasn't 2 re: Aussies out of the bag with the Papadopoulos leak to NYT? And on 1, anyone who communicated w/ Page was on alert after leak to WaPo in April.

Sort of (and note that Aussies may have been the ones to leak it, possible to preempt this). But I think they'd still be cranky about it--it's supposed to be theirs to declassify, not Nunes'. As for notice, they'd get general notice, but not specific dates.

That said, particularly given that Page (who is admittedly nuts) thought Ryan would release his FISA app, the Q of who leaked that story becomes far more important.

And yes, I think 3 is a good thing. DOJ probably believes, correctly, that it will lead to sources and methods being compromised over time. At the very least, some defense attorneys will learn a lot more about how FISA works.
