Folks: The reason the FBI et al say the memo harms NatSec is: 1) It tells Page (some of ) exactly when he was targeted. 2) It will make it easier for defendants to get to review their FISA application, which no defendants have in 40 years.

Is 2 a bad thing?
It's actually a great thing. But it will lead to some reform of FISA the govt would like to avoid.

Right. You can disagree with the stance here of the Ds and IC that defendants shld be able to review their FISA apps. But it’s still a change and a change they were concerned about.
