The memo doesn't appear to warrant either the hype of its revelations or danger thereof. And the push back on this nothingburger seems to be insisting that the dossier WAS NOT the basis for the FISA requests/renewals, not aligning with any of the 'unmasking' hype. Curious.
Also, if you're NOT interested in FISA (as Devin Nunes has been for most of his tenure as HPSCI Chair) then news that Christopher Steele was terminated as a source is most interesting detail in Memo. But it doesn't help GOP argument.

Maybe the goal was a contextual point-Steele is a UK citizen and foreign intelligence officer who cultivated Russian intelligence sources to create a product destined for, via a 'consultant,' a political party in the US. for the purpose of effecting the outcome of the election.

Contradicts earlier reports that Steele stepped away from FBI in late 2016 because his warnings were falling on deaf ears. I don't think Steele was ever a source, more a respected colleague.
