That’s kind of irrelevant if it was used to justify surveillance.

I'm sure you, of all people, know how often whackjob consultants get to feed FISA on the way in AND testify in court on the way out for Muslim defendants. Did you complain then?

Well we never knew before, now did we. And in any case it’s a violation of civil rights and needs to stop. Period. You can’t just make things up to justify spying on American citizens, or base an entire investigation on madenip things. Just no.

Sure we did. Defense attorneys raise it all the time and I've heard it from former LE. This is not about "making stuff up." It's about the standards for privatized intelligence, which on CT side are far worse than Christopher Steele. At least Steele speaks Russian.

I'm all in favor of using Page/Manafort's public targeting under FISA to learn more about it/expose problems (and I've done so WELL before this pseudo-scandal). But I find those who complain ONLY when white Christian Republicans are affected to be the worst kind of opportunism.

“White Christian” Can you explain to me why you get the need to use these descriptors? What possible reason could you have for it?

Because there are a slew of people in this country--many who voted for Trump--who believe separate standards should apply for Muslims, in spite of our Constitution.

Whether there are or not is irrelevant. I can point to many on the Left who believe Christians should be held to a different standard. Stop using this kind of nonsense in your arguments.

Many do! The standard I'm insisting on is that anyone who wants to complain about FISA at least INCLUDE all those (Muslims, and also Chinese-Americans) who're most disproportionately affected by its problems in your complaints.

Show me some. Tell me how you know all about a secret court.

Xiaoxiang Xi was charged for engaging in normal scientific discussion. Keith Gartenlaub was targeted bc his wife's uncle is a Chinese muckety muck. Muslims are targeted bc contractors who hang out in chat rooms ID them there, even w/o evidence of adherence.
