And/but Mueller was appointed in May '17, while the allegations I've heard about abuse of FISA predate that. Plus dossier was public by Jan. 17, so would be an odd hidden source for anything at that point. So fire Mueller for something predating him?https://twitter.com/justinjm1/status/957643094001930240 …

Here comes a memo full of allegations of abuse of surveillance powers by the FBI feeding the Mueller probe and the man overseeing it, Rosenstein. In other words, "misconduct." https://www.thedailybeast.com/doj-warns-that-releasethememo-would-be-extraordinarily-reckless/ …

sure. argument could go: This memo shows the entire investigation is poisoned, and either Mueller and Rosenstein knew, should've known, or else they will act today or they're gone.

Everything is poisoned? Like who did DNC hacking or who funded Twitter bots? Who should investigate now? Maybe Postal Inspectors, like the last special counsel used http://bit.ly/2rOXHak  (h/t @meekwire ) Or just throw in the towel?

the Trump half of the Trump-Russia investigation. in the end, nothing can be meaningfully stopped unless the FBI itself were disbanded

So the Trump Tower meeting didn't happen because Steele info, maybe even false Steele info, was given to FISA court? It's a weird fruit of poisoned tree argument but I just don't get how ones gets from A to C here. It's an effort to unring the bell.

Especially since Mueller has rather conspicuously avoided doing anything that could be poisoned fruit, even in Manafort case.
