How strange, I've worked in academia, academic administration, and tech. I have yet to see a place that doesn't hire, in part, on looks and the ability to represent yourself as something you are not.

Never mind that his earlier points raised in that thread assume that the moment one becomes an actor, one is immediately a celebrity. I’ve known hundreds of actors who are very much regular people.

The stupidity of both his original thread and then his follow-up responses is truly something to behold.

I hate any comment that uses the phrase “real people” unless it’s about AI or mannequins. (Also what’s up with the odd spelling of lecture. Is lektchure British? I’ve never come across it before and google returns only hits on Taleb)
