Think the supersedings will have actual facts regarding the conspiracy?
-
Papadopoulos has been cooperating for a long time.
-
I’m certain Mueller *knows* a lot regarding the conspiracy. I’m wondering if he’s reached the point where he thinks the time is right to put it in a public filing.
-
Undoubtedly no. He's got to work his way up.
-
I think that makes sense. Which makes me pretty curious what he’s put in the superseding indictments, if not that.

If Gates decides to cooperate, Manafort would probably be close behind right? Can’t imagine him wanting to stick it out while his right hand man is a cooperating witness.
-
Different calculus. Gates might more gracefully find a way out of this than Manafort, who's in too deep. Plus I think Mueller may want him to do real time.

I suspect that might be right. Russian mob has networks in prisons, too.

From day one, it was clear the indictment was the minimum necessary to get Manafort in custody. There has been a superseding out there waiting for a long time. Suspect it focuses on money issues though. If it is clean and puts him away 4 life, no need to complicate trial.
