Which is why I considered it strange he was part of the Clinton email investigation. Why would CI be involved in that unless they thought a foreign adversary had accessed the server.
I dont assume this guys political opinions or private comments compromised the investigations. I do have a hard time understanding why he was chosen for the Clinton thing, preliminary FBI Russia investigation, AND Mueller's probe. There's over 13,000 special agents

Actually he was chief of the Counterespionage division (a section under counter-intelligence) during the Clinton investigation and was promoted to "Deputy Assistant Director of Counter-intelligence" during the Russia investigation. Don't see any reason he was on both.
