This quote is right--but also, these leakers are trying to spin their OWN obstruction as something else. https://www.emptywheel.net/2018/01/25/how-does-don-mcgahn-threaten-to-quit-without-telling-trump/ … McGahn had 2 days of interview w/Mueller. Did he explain all this then?https://twitter.com/brianstelter/status/956862812927774720 …

Thanks for responding, but not sure I understand. With more obstruction evidence would there eventually be an obstruction charge or never?
-
Congress is not going to impeach off of obstruction. So Q is why Mueller has focused on laying out who was involved in obstruction before finishing the conspiracy case? Maybe to get more witnesses?
-
Got it. Thanks.

In case interested, I just wrote a thread on why Mueller won't indict Trump and what that means.https://twitter.com/EricColumbus/status/956959804903378945 …

Thanks. Saw it. Why would Mueller "finalize" an obstruction charge now, when he has made it clear he's got months and months of work on conspiracy investigation?
-
Why do you say he has months of work to do on conspiracy? But yes, I agree with your general point.

They've set a status hearing for Papadopoulos in 3 months, first status for Flynn isn't until next month (admittedly a few weeks), and reports that they've supersedings for Manafort & Gates that have Gates chatting up Meuller to flip.
