@emptywheel 's are buried on her website. Perhaps she should include name/expertise in her Twitter bio?
There are a lot of people with PhDs who do shoddy work. Most of the DC Think Tank establishment, for example. I prefer to rely on my record, not pieces of paper acquired years ago.

I guess I'm suggesting that source assessments should rely on literacy of the presentation, not credentialism. Particularly as it relates to NatSec, bc of the secrecy.

I can walk downtown, throw a rock, and hit someone on the head with a PhD. I realize this doesn't guarantee expertise in matters of national security. Highlighting your record in your Twitter bio models "authority", and helps information consumers be more responsible.
