If the existence of that meeting somehow bled back to Christopher Steele, that raises two possibilities -- 1.) Trump Tower meeting attendees are lying even more than previously thought about what was discussed 2.) The events of the meeting are embellished in Steele's report.
I think the other is far more likely: that Akhmetshin got word and passed it on and much of the rest of what Steele got was disinformation.
