From my experience in sitting through tons of depositions, people are really bad at remembering all but the vaguest dates, especially when they don’t have documents around to refer to.

In fairness, if I was being questioned and couldn’t answer with exact facts I would also answer this way. Otherwise, if you get one date or fact wrong it could be considered you lied or deceived. Take it with a grain of salt and look at the broader narrative
