A source close to Fusion GPS tells me there was no walk-in source -- that was a mischaracterization by Simpson of the Australian diplomat tip about Papadopoulis.

Interested in your thoughts in the timeline. Even if this was a reference to Papadopoulos and Simpson screwed up the characterization, it seems noteworthy that Steele (and Simpson) would have known that there was a cooperator over 2 months before the plea deal was disclosed.
