Sessions is definitely a co-conspirator, which is precisely why Trump was so anxious for him not to recuse (figured a co-conspirator wd have personal incentive to shut down the investigation).
But note what he did. He immediately sent Sessions out to actively obstruct--getting dirt into the press, telling Rosenstein to justify firing him. SO he tied his continued freedom to Trump's success.

Exactly. He's made the same 'devil's bargain' that the GOP leadership has made: ignore DJT's glaring unfitness and the danger it poses to the country in exchange for near term freedom of action.
