Weren't there eight investigations into Benghazi? So Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan claim that 6>8? http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/rep-mark-meadows-its-time-for-jeff-sessions-to-go/article/2644934 … These guys aren't in charge of the budget, are they?pic.twitter.com/rCxtbNnMWo

It's not just math either. They struggle with reading, too. Sources for NYT story were "four current and former American and foreign officials." Still anon, but not necessarily (or even most likely to be) spooks. Also almost certainly folks close to Papadopoulos.pic.twitter.com/YXNWjjd3y6

What are the chances that Meadows and Jordan know all the investigative moves, including FISA orders, obtained in investigation? Also note lots of Pap collex could be done w/702. https://www.emptywheel.net/2018/01/01/the-papadopoulos-delay/ …pic.twitter.com/Lteo7kV8In

This one is even better, tho. Not only do we know why the dossier was briefed (so Trump would know what everyone in DC and Moscow was laughing at), but the briefing wasn't about the FBI CI investigation; it was abt ICA.pic.twitter.com/bi3pGl15f5

Plus, it's generally a bad idea to brief a subject of an investigation on all the witnesses to that investigation. I mean, look what Trump did when he got briefed on Flynn, a more urgent CI issue?

.@Jim_Jordan Is often pretty good on surveillance. I could give him a list of FISA affidavits that would be far more interesting than this one; but he won't get to review that one either. [Maybe they should more dramatically change FISA?]pic.twitter.com/V0OMaoGnSH

As noted, the only reason to believe the FBI leaked the story to the NYT is bc these fellas don't read too good.pic.twitter.com/hcSVqs5T3w

Now you see why Meadows and Jordan are forced to misread the sourcing on the NYT story, to be able to sustain this claim.pic.twitter.com/Az4wMR4OYS

Hard to believe that Jordan sat through at least two hearings where this recusal was a key point of discussion. Or maybe the point isn't actually the oversight of the investigation after all? 🤔pic.twitter.com/drJ3LPR46f

And while we're talking about things that got discussed a combined total of ~29 times in those hearings, I wonder how Michael Horowitz feels that Jim Jordan won't wait for the results of the investigation into just these issues, an investigation that has shown results?

For the last time, Benghazi was not really a State Department problem. It was (this has been admitted in the press) filled with CIA agents, and who was in charge of the CIA but Mr. Adultery, David Petraeus? Why wasn't *he* interrogated? The dead people were his guys.

"My dad works for the State Department" is the biggest joke in any Loudoun County public school cafeteria. Come on, guys! It was their cover. And who wants to bet when the crap hit the fan, Petraeus couldn't be reached on his cell phone?

Exactly. A man has to date his mistress sometime, even if a couple of government employees have to die because you're the only one with the power to say "yes" to an intervention and you cannot be reached. Ugh.

There will never be evidence of "collision" because that's not the crime being investigated. I'm sure there will be plenty of evidence of "conspiracy," not to mention a shit-ton of money laundering.
