What if the Russians promised Trump a Moscow Tower for playing up their emails whether he won or lost -- and he was figuring he'd lose?

I’ve been wondering how dropping sanctions to get Trump Tower Moscow approved was supposed to work if he didn’t think he would win, and if winning would have to mean abandoning the tower (at least for now).

Maybe that’s all... I just haven’t seen people talking about this paradox. And my sense is there are other pieces of the puzzle that are needed to resolve it. It’s not an obvious self-contained quid pro quo.

So I think yours is an interesting suggestion that he could give something of value to Putin just by running. Then the question is why the Russians upped the ante & went for the win.
