@emptywheel Back when news of the June 9 meeting was first broken, there was scattered reporting that even Mueller’s office had been in the dark about it. Do you buy that?

If it’s true that even Mueller & co didn’t know about it, and it winds up being really important, it makes me wonder just what else they had that was serious enough to pursue the investigation.

Why do you think M&K voluntarily disclosed info about the meeting at all if it’s incriminating? To give themselves a chance to explain it away and not look like they’re hiding anything?
