Abundant tweets about civil liberties & national security. "Has a longer memory than an elephant & keeps more records than Jim Comey.” Legendary potty mouth.

Chuck Ross Retweeted AM Joy w/Joy Reid

Chuck Ross added,
As @AndrewCMcCarthy noted in his piece today, NYT reported earlier this year that Carter Page's trip to Moscow (which was heavily emphasized in dossier) was the catalyst for the FBI investigation. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/19/us/politics/carter-page-russia-trump.html?mtrref=www.nationalreview.com&gwh=FC871FB813D76386DF0BBE7330B839DE&gwt=pay …pic.twitter.com/PeePoJdOHz
Then you both should note WaPo and others reported on it in real time. Didn't take Steele.
They opened the investigation because Page visited Moscow, or they opened it because, as the dossier alleged, he met with Sechin and Diveykin?
Neither is what most public reporting backs. The first issue was CIA Intel.
Moreover the public record is inconsistent on facts of Page's warrant (which I admit may be cya).
Also I find it lol funny that McCarthy didn't mention the contemporaneous Manafort news, which I laid out in linked post.
