In a letter trying to spook Congress into passing a long-term 702 reauthorization, spooks say, "Congress got it right in 2008 when it passed Section 702." Great! As passed in 2008, 702 had no back door searches, no Tor/VPN collection, no authorized about.

In other words, the spooks have just said Congress had it right when it passed a bill in 2008 that is largely what all the reformers would love now! So let's do that!!!
