And yet w/o @kaspersky you don't respond to WannaCry in timely fashion.
Funny how that works.
Wut? I was a first responder working with my org and go/ngo partners. Kaspersky didn't have sweet fuck all to do with our response. I called the incident commander. I ought to know.
Can you point out what you say contradicts what I did? Did you click through to the link?
I don't understand your pivot from "Kaspersky saved us all from wanacry" to "but my page views." There have been plenty of back and front channel warnings re: Kaspersky over the last 2-3 years. Good day.
Hi. Let's start with you explaining why this tweet is a logical answer to my last one? You MUST know basic logic if you're a network defender. Let's see some of it?
Sure: you: A!
Me: not A.
You: but "yet w/o @kaspersky you don't respond to WannaCry in timely fashion"(x).
Me: not x.
You: but my page views!
Me: nah.
You: logic?
1) Did Kaspersky have any role in attributing WannaCry, Y/N. 2) If Y, then fuckoff. 3) If N, then check your reality meter. 4) Go to 1.
I don't know why you're telling me to fuck off, or ignoring my direct experience as a security incident responder, but all I can say is.. you have zero idea. Kaspersky has been a known or suspected bad actor for years. Idk why your shilling for bad actors, that's on you.
Let me make this more BASIC (that's a programming language) for you.
1) My point was about attribution.
2) If @kaspersky had a role in attribution, then done.
3) Are you really claiming they did not?
If they had a role in attribution, your complaints are totally off point.
