Hayes' comment is reductive. What's actually bad is using stolen documents to deceptively spin falsehoods that serve your own radically ideological agenda, which is kind of Wikileaks' whole strategy
WikiLeaks is also where Assad's emails were released. Not trying to be difficult--just think this issue is nuanced than almost anyone on the left makes out.

I agree and partisans will always shift their stances according to their team's benefit, but we don't know what Assange chooses to reveal and/or why certain leaks are dressed up deceptively. Thats why revelations need to happen in context of rigorous, credible journalism IMO.

Agree--and may be distinction w/Panama Papers etc (tho I've got Qs abt underlying collection). But Bradley Foundation may have included altered docs.
