I think the eager voyeuristic coverage of a Palin child's sad difficulties is creepy and does not reflect well on us. Of course my opinion of Sarah Palin has evolved from "worst evar" 2008-2010 to "comparatively, Margaret Freaking Thatcher" in 2017.

Not at all. I think it important to understand how we got Trump. In part it's bc Sarah Palin just had a tragic family clash and she's still ginning up bullshit on Twitter.

Agreed. That we keep treating Trump like an anomaly (and ignoring the precursors like Palin) is what convinces me we'll get another Trump after him. Probably a smarter one that knows how dogwhistles work.
