The last 18 months have been nothing but leaks designed to incriminate people (including mid/low-level ones) who are the targets of investigation, before they had due process - and most people (Dems) cheered. Why/how is this different?https://twitter.com/matthewamiller/status/940960523407052800 …

I didn't know you were anti-leak now! Welcome to the club! But, more seriously, this was an official DOJ action, not a leak. think it has to be assessed differently.

I'm pro-leak! With extremely rare exceptions, I'm in favor of leaks that shed light on what government officials (even mid-level ones) are doing in the dark (including Trump/Russia ones). Was just wondering why you like the Trump/Russia leaks but not these.

I haven’t liked all of the anti-Trump leaks. Case by case. Motive matters, most important test is harm caused versus public interest in disclosure.

Rosenstein seems to think this transparency will prove they'll go after their own. Sort of like Jim Comey's July 7 speech, I guess.

Does anyone else think it's weird that Rosenstein authored a memo using that exact reason to support firing Comey?

Technically his problem with Comey was that Comey substituted his judgment for prosecutors.
