I JUST told you. We're going to walk you through one little problem after another, not two at once. But first, say, "I promise." Then I'll walk you through Sipher slowly enough so you can understand.

You could have retracted your accusation. I would have even ignored your condescension and promised to do what I already said I would do. Letting that false accusation stand proves you’re acting in bad faith. It’s a shame; I thought a few of your articles were informative.

No. I could explain it to you so you could understand that. But you won't promise to act in good faith so...

I said I would, and I promise to do what I said. I wouldn’t even be responding to you except that I want to know how you’re going to explain my direct quotes of Harding aren’t direct quotes. They’re not out of context, so what is it?

Actually let me restate. Sipher says the report predicted the bots.pic.twitter.com/qEHD89j3Bu

That claim comes from this passage of the report, which he says was dated "late Fall."pic.twitter.com/9aU4ysnoY7

He says that "late fall" report is proven by this report, which he notes is a November report.pic.twitter.com/kcY5jYYQ9g

But, as we both agree, that last report is dated December 13 (he cleverly hides that fact by calling it "late fall"). That means he's using a November report on bots to "prove" that a December 13 Steele report predicted the bots. Last I checked, November comes before December

Now, the claim is rather stupid in any case, bc Buzzfeed and other entities had been writing about bots for months *during* the election. And the still-best report on bots--from IRA, not from Webzilla--is this June 2015 report from the NYT.https://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/07/magazine/the-agency.html …

I agree that “late fall” is incorrect. What I don’t see is Sipher asserting that particular item predicted other reporting. He appears to be saying it’s corroborated by other reporting.

The entire piece is about predictions. A December report cannot predict something that happened during the summer, and that was contemporaneously reported more accurately.
