      It’s either a shar pei or a chow. In light of the short hair and build I’d favor Shar Pei genetics. Blue tongue is the breed standard.

      Our former Shar Pei who passed this year had a head so big we used to call him “ big headed boy”. He’d rest it on the couch while standing.pic.twitter.com/2dFGz7TgOu

      Food: we’ve used nature’s recipe salmon and sweet potato dry food for every one we’ve had. It’s no grain so keeps the skin issues down. Don’t overbathe. They can be stinky, but it’s kind of a breed thing that they have a musty smell sometimes. Don’t give them pig ears or rawhides

          Mine either fought over them, or choked on them. Neither were good outcomes so we banned. Plus it makes for a lot of poop.
