June 20th memo, Source D. What are your thoughts on the allegation about the intelligence on Hillary that was "very helpful"? What's your take on it? Not related to the June 9th meeting? Or just too vague to assume honest account by the source and/or the intermediaries?

Right: None of Steele's sources are first-hand to him. But again, consider implications of Source D being Agalarov (which is basically who it describes). Why didn't Steele report the June 9 meeting, the most damning evidence currently public?
I keep coming back to the silence on the June 9 meeting bc it seems, w/o explaining that, you can't assess the dossier project as a whole. Plus, if either Agalarov or Akhemtshin learned the project, both could tell RU intel, which means it'd be poisoned from the get-go.

In particular, perhaps "poisoned" by Source B, whose interlocutor was apparently discussing the "rumors about a dossier" with him. So if Source B's intermediary was Akhmetshin too... the first dossier memo would basically be Steele getting spun in real-time by Akhmetshin.

Do we have any proof Akhmetshin was in Russia in June? Doubtful that this happened remotely, because the first bullet point says A and B were speaking together to the trusted compatriot. Seems like in-person... And thus, probably, in Russia.

Yeah, it's that larger point. If Akhmetshin was in on the loop on the dossier, in any way, there's a very good chance RU knew of and poisoned the dossier from the start. Which is consistent w/what Harding said abt Steele's sources.

Wait, what? What did Harding say? That they knew? I know he said something like "only one of them knew of Steele directly"... Is that what you mean? You think that person was Source D or his intermediary?

Possible that Akhmetshin could have learned of the dossier from Simpson, since "Simpson and Akhmetshin were in contact and have known each other for a long time, people with direct knowledge of the relationship told me." But it doesn't seem Akhmetshin was an intermediary.
