Nope, you have a Shar Pei there. I’ve owned several. They are a strong protective breed, prone to a prey instinct. My current Pei actually killed a groundhog in the back yard. The squirrels play catch me if you can but she’s not quick enough.
Yeah, he's gone after squirrels and birds so far. Not sure I'll ever be able to take him off leash in my little urban hellhole. He's 2 and needs some dog socialization which is a bit late.

Final comment. It’s good when they are bred with other dogs like yours. The purebred Peis are a physical train wreck due to overbreeding. Cross breeding with other genetics helps avoid breed specific problems like Shar Pei fever and mast cell tumors. Your dog looks perfect to me.

Not all Shar Peis are good with other dogs. Some need to be socialized on a leash, but you need to make sure they are voice command trained. When they love you, they protect you. Important to let them know you are the alpha. But they are my favorite breed my a hundred miles.
