So it's terrible to reference the Steele Dossier? Not sure I follow.https://twitter.com/emptywheel/status/938884832301592579 …
You mean that nothing in it, besides the trip, which was public contemporaneously, confirmed. Nothing in Page's transcript confirmed the dossier. If we believe Page, then it actually refuted it.

All of them have lied about their encounters with Russians, why should we believe anything they say?

I think we read things differently. When the Dossier says "hackers had had “only limited success in penetrating the ‘first tier’ of foreign targets'" I don't read that as a claim that "Russia hadn’t had some success penetrating those first tier targets." And that's okay.

There you go again, faith reading. That was an inexcusably bad report for anyone reporting on RU.

Faith reading of your linked blog entries. Obviously that's what I was quoting. I made a good faith effort to read through all the links you posted to try to figure out why you were so upset about the dossier.

Met with a senior member of the PA, Head of Investments of Rosneft (in July and Dec on week of deal), sent the campaign an email on his flight back saying excellent work on the Ukraine amendment, he flew to a east euro country Labor Day weekend to meet w/Russians....

Um. So you admit he met with people NOT named in the dossier and didn't meet with the people named in the dossier, right. So you have just proven it DOESN'T confirm the dossier but contradicts it.
